Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence for Business

We are at a cross-roads of new machine learning and artificial intelligent systems building new business models that are impacting our lives, our living and working spaces, our privacy and security and the wider industry structures and social employment and economic development of our future. The World Economic Forum calls the “4th Industrial Revolution” a fusion of physical, biological and digital systems into a huge new ecosystem of new potential leaving no country or industry untouched from smart cities, smart self-driving transport, smart healthcare, smart retail, smart agriculture , smart public services will drive the potential to grow GDP in the next decade that some consultancy and analyst surveys predict by trillions of dollars. How do we get ready for this? How do we design our business operating model and wider market place to create a business case and realize value from AI? How do we combine AI with other technology in Internet of things, blockchain, cloud computing, robotics and enterprise systems?
The program will provide a broad and specific exploration of the latest business and technical issues drawing on a combination of academic and industry practice supported by current case studies and technology demonstrations. It will provide a “toolkit” approach to solving business model problems to where to apply machine learning and AI to a business model and the risks and issues.

- How do we classify and make our data machine ready, processes, policies?
- How do we manage the value alignment problem of privacy, ethics, and cyber security and
governance impact issues?
- What are the AI implementation approaches, tools and techniques to help develop a AI business
case and roadmap?
- Where is the future of AI going, what do we need to do to get ready?
The program is aimed at Mid to Senior Business Leaders who want to learn about how to apply new business-technology strategy frameworks supporting the development of business model automation and artificial intelligence to their company business models.
It will also be of benefit to Technical Architects, seeking a business appreciation of information and commercial business models supporting technical development of machine learning projects.
The program will cover five key themes

2. Business models of AI
3. Technologies and case studies in AI
4. The risks and threats of AI
5. The future of AI directions
The program assumes no prior knowledge of artificial intelligence technology or business models but will have a set of references and a primer of the key terminology that will enable the student to get a grounding in the language and concepts emerging in machine automation and new business models. The references will provide introductions to more advanced topics for the student to explore at their own pace.
The program is vendor independent looking at a range of proprietary and open technologies. It is also cross-industry looking at case studies from commercial private as well as government federal market sectors from energy, financial services, insurance, transport, retail, healthcare, etc. The program will blend academic and industrial practice that grounds the student in the current terminology and theories of machine learning, artificial intelligence and emerging new business models
innovation. It will explore business uses cases of knowledge automation across a range of solutions from data science algorithms, machine learning algorithms to intelligent multi-agents, types of neural networks to reasoning and new developments.
Program Faculty Bio
Mark Skilton, is a Practice Professor in information Systems Management in the UK where he is also Industry Director of an AI Innovation Network. He is also Head of Applied Research Innovation Lab at Enzen Global Ltd. He has over 30 years experience in business technology consulting in over 20 countries and cross-industries specializing in digital strategy and advanced technology innovation, design and adoption. He is the author of four books, including the Digital Enterprise and Digital Ecosystem Architecture, the 4th Industrial Revolution and Artificial Intelligence Impact and his latest book on new cyber security threats. He is a frequent speaker in the international media, and has contributed to publications including the FT, WSJ, NYT, WSJ, Washington Post, Bloomberg, Reuters, AP, Mail, Forbes and channels including BBC, Sky, ITV and Al Jazeera. His research and advisory work includes CxO practices for digitization, productivity, cyber, Internet of Things, blockchain and Automated Intelligence.
